Yes part of you really is psychic. Sometimes it may not seem very obvious, nevertheless it is there. When you truly understand the definition of the word psychic, which means of the mind or soul, you can begin to understand how you have gifts. The gifts are not all the same, nor are they meant to be used in the same way.
Since the word psychic means of the mind or soul: (Definition from World Book Encyclopedia Follows)
psychic, adjective, noun.
adj. 1. of the soul or mind; mental.
Ex. illness due to psychic causes. Let us now consider the major categories under which psychic … disorders are conveniently classified (Sunday Times).
2. outside the known laws of physics; supernatural. A psychic force or influence is believed by spiritualists to explain second sight, telepathy, table moving and tappings.
(SYN) telepathic.
3. especially susceptible to psychic influences.
noun 1. a person supposed to be specially sensitive or responsive to psychic force or spiritual influences; medium.
2. things that are psychic; the realm of parapsychology.
Now given the above definition you can see that you do have a mind and a soul. The key is learning how to use it properly in order to enhance your own life and the lives of others. We will start with you because that is the foundation of your creativity and co-creativity. You are an integrated part of a much Higher Power. I call that power God, you can call it what you like and it is good, kind, loving, and it is an important part of who you are.
Almost everyone has had an experience of thinking about someone and then they either hear about them, hear from them, or run into them. That is a psychic experience of one kind. There are many others, sensing something about someone you know, even a feeling about the weather for some is a psychic or intuitive experience. One way or another we are all connected to a Higher Power. We need to learn to be more in tune with that Higher Power

Symptoms of depression are varied and my feeling regarding the connection of fear and depression are as follows. Often depression will set in when there is something we really don’t want to face or address in our lives. There are times when being unhappy in a marriage or a job is an underlying cause of depression due to a fear of change or making a mistake of some type. Even deeper underlying that are some of the conditioning and commitments that we accepted as we were growing up which can include home environment, education, religion, previous experiences, and so on.
A fear that something may not work out the way we want it to, fear of losing a person or a material possession or of failing at something also contributes to depression and often prevents us from taking an action. I know people who have lost their jobs in this tough economy and have found work, not necessarily what they were used to or even what they wanted to do, but work nevertheless to help them get through a rough spot. I also know people who have not tried to do anything as a result of feeling there was nothing out there, they were over or under qualified, which is a kind fear base that can prevent someone from trying to find something.
EXAMPLES & SUGGESTIONS
- Someone who’s conditioning is due to cultural beliefs, religion, or values they may have accepted may not leave a relationship that is unhealthy. Unhealthy could be physical, mental, or emotional abuse (I will write a page on relationships in the next couple of days). Now if the couple involved agrees that they can abuse each other then that is between them. I have had clients who felt as a result of prior mistakes they made that they didn’t deserve to be happy or that there was nothing better out there, or they were just afraid of being alone. I have had clients that stayed in unhealthy relationships for long periods of time as a direct result of placing financial security above anything else. In many cases people are not even consciously aware of why they do the things they do. Individuals my feel Divorce: is wrong or a sin, means failure, will change the way other people think about them, fear of making a mistake, and so on. My suggestion in these types of situations is to define what your needs are in a HEALTHY relationship and do that without putting a name or a face to it. Take the time to get to know you.
- I have had clients who were miserable in their job and were afraid they couldn’t find something better, I have observed situations where managers were disrespectful and did not appreciate their employees, and conditioning indicates that the manager is always right and we have to go along with the program whatever the program happens to be. Too often managers expect a job to be done without allowing the appropriate time for the job to be done because their manager made new demands and the trickle down effect of a situation like that can create a great deal of stress. Upper management needs to truly pay attention to what is going on in the ranks. They learn only what the managers and management layers in between want them to hear and know. In many of those situations something negative had to happen to move that person into making a change. It is human nature to resist change unless we chose it, but there are time when we won’t make the change and so we are ‘helped’ so to speak.
- It is through your experiences, thoughts and belief systems that you create. Once you learn to adjust your perspective a bit your life experience can improve in amazing ways. Bad things happen to good people; how you view what happens to you has a major impact on your life. It might be time to look at things a bit differently.

Fear is one of the greatest barriers that can, and often does, prevent us from achieving our higher goals. Fear is like a door that has locked us in a dark room and we don’t realize we have the key to unlock that door or to open a different door that can let us out into a bright beautiful day.
Fear takes on many disguises, including, but not limited to, worry, anger, frustration, insecurity, hostility, aggression, addictions of various types, and so on. Too often fear paralyzes and prevents us from moving towards what we really want to experience. It keeps us from our joy. We frequently are distracted in diverse ways and we seldom recognize fear for what it is. Depression is frequently fear based.
I have been a master at many of those diversions. This site has been up for a several months and I have not put the effort into it that I need to in order for it to be successful. Part of the reason has been fear based. Afraid I was going to make a mistake, afraid I wasn’t good enough, afraid I didn’t know enough. On top of all of that I was looking at some of my past failures and mistakes and it almost froze me in time. The list of excuses and reasons goes on and on. That was then and this is now. I am finally giving it and me an honest chance this time.
One thing I would like to point out is that the kind fear I am referring to exists in our minds. There are healthy fears, which include being cautious when driving, or cooking, possible on the job injuries, or taking foolish risks. We fear not finding a relationship, a relationship ending, a job ending, not being able to find a job, those types of thoughts consume so much of our mental space that we don’t have time to look for solutions or alternate thoughts.
